Job Description
Integral Senior Living (ISL) is a respected leader in managing care and lifestyle-focused Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities primarily in California and surrounding regions. With thousands of residents and families served, ISL stands out as one of the largest senior living organizations in the nation and has earned Great Place to Work® certifications from 2022 through 2026. This recognition speaks volumes about the organization's commitment to cultivating positive workplace culture, where every team member is valued, empowered, and supported. ISL’s foundational "Culture Keepers" philosophy underscores its dedication to creating purpose-driven environments that enable residents to thrive, while team members grow both professionally and personally.
The organization thrives on mission-driven values that inspire continuous growth, ensuring that every role is fueled by purpose. Learning and development are integral to the ISL culture, with strategic investments made to support professional advancement and skill enhancement. This approach enables team members to contribute meaningfully to the senior living community and build long-term, rewarding careers. Integral Senior Living offers competitive wages, flexible scheduling options for both full-time and part-time positions, paid time off and holidays for full-time employees, and a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Additional perks like 401(k) with employer matching, paid training, opportunities for advancement, meals, uniforms, and an employee assistance program further reinforce ISL's commitment to employee well-being and satisfaction.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Cook to join our caring team. As a Cook at ISL, you will have the unique opportunity to impact residents' daily lives directly through meal preparation and quality culinary services. This role involves preparing a wide range of menu items, from hot entrees to cold dishes, and working across various stations such as the grill, sauté, salad bar, and service line. Attention to detail in food preparation, portion control, and presentation is paramount, as is adherence to standardized recipes to ensure consistency and safety. The Cook will taste and prepare food to determine quality and palatability, ensuring that all meals served meet the high standards expected at ISL communities.
This position is initially PRN (pro re nata or as needed), offering flexibility and a pathway to part-time or full-time employment depending on the needs of the community and the candidate’s availability. If you are passionate about serving others and wish to join a team that values respect, growth, and supportive culture, Integral Senior Living provides an empowering workplace to make a difference. This role is perfect for individuals with experience in senior living or food service who appreciate an environment that balances quality care with culinary excellence.
