With over 1,000 employees, the company is committed to fostering a culture where every team member feels valued, supported, and part of a larger mission that opens doors to homes, opportunities, and hope. Wallick Senior Living transcends the conventional notion of senior care by focusing not only on meeting the residents' needs but also enriching their lives with engaging activities, delicious meals, and round-the-clock support.

At The Ashford of Beavercreek, Wallick Senior Living is actively seeking a dedicated full-time Cook to join their team, offering an hourly pay rate of $16. This role is vital in ensuring residents receive nourishing and well-prepared meals in a clean and safe kitchen environment. The Cook position demands attention to detail, culinary skills, and the ability to uphold Wallick’s high standards of food quality and safety. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the cleanliness of large kitchen equipment and food preparation areas, monitoring food quality through routine temperature checks and taste tests, and managing food portions and presentation. Additionally, the Cook will set up food in steam tables and replenish supplies as necessary, maintaining adherence to portion control to minimize waste while maximizing resident satisfaction.

The Cook will also have opportunities for career growth, supported by Wallick’s tuition reimbursement, professional development programs, and advancement opportunities within the organization. Being a part of an employee-owned company, this role offers a unique chance to contribute to and benefit from the company's success through profit sharing. The company emphasizes a supportive workplace culture, promoting work-life balance with paid time off and paid parental leave, and access to a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and vision insurance effective within just two weeks of employment.

Joining Wallick Senior Living as a Cook means becoming part of a team that values diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. The organization has a strong commitment to creating a safe and inclusive workplace free from discrimination of any kind. The Cook will be a part of a collaborative environment that encourages communication with coworkers, residents, and family members, ensuring any inquiries or concerns are handled promptly and professionally. The ideal candidate will have one to two years of institutional or restaurant experience, possess basic math skills, and be competent in making routine decisions affecting the kitchen department.

By working at Wallick Senior Living, the Cook will contribute directly to the well-being and quality of life of residents like Maurine, who has found an instant family, and Evelyn, a 105-year-old resident celebrated by the community. This is more than a job: it is a chance to make a difference while building a rewarding career with a company that truly invests in its people and their futures. If you’re passionate about cooking and dedicated to making a meaningful impact in senior living, apply today to become an integral part of Wallick Senior Living’s compassionate and committed team.
