Job Description

Gallaher Signature Living is a distinguished provider of senior living communities, dedicated to redefining what it means to age well. With a foundation built on compassion, elegance, and excellence, the company offers more than traditional senior care, focusing instead on personalized experiences that enrich daily life and foster meaningful connections. Operating residential communities across California, including locations in Santa Rosa, Alameda, Moorpark, and Covina, Gallaher Signature Living supports active adults through Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care services. The company’s environments are thoughtfully designed to provide comfort, dignity, and high-quality services that meet the diverse needs of today’s seniors. Headquartered in Windsor, California, Gallaher Signature Living continues to expand its footprint while building a team of dedicated professionals passionate about shaping the future of senior living.

The Cook role at Gallaher Signature Living plays a vital part in delivering a refined, hospitality-driven dining experience within these upscale communities. This position is responsible for the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for residents, guests, and team members, adhering strictly to approved menus and standardized recipes. The Cook ensures that all meals comply with federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines, including the stringent requirements of California Title 22. This adherence not only guarantees the safety and nutritional standards of the food served but also contributes to an elegant dining atmosphere that complements the boutique nature of Gallaher Signature Living locations. Working closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef, the Cook coordinates food production and maintains kitchen operations to deliver timely and consistent meal service. The role involves preparing a wide variety of menu items, including soups, appetizers, entrées, vegetables, side dishes, and desserts, while accommodating special dietary needs and substitute meals when requested. The candidate must uphold the highest levels of sanitation, safety, and food handling protocols to ensure a clean and inspection-ready kitchen. Beyond food preparation, the Cook supports community outreach efforts by maintaining a professional and warm presence during tours and special events. This position also requires participation in ongoing training and certification maintenance, fostering continuous professional development. The opportunity comes with an hourly wage range of $19.50 to $21.50, reflecting the company’s commitment to offering competitive compensation. Ultimately, this role is integral to creating an inviting dining experience that enhances the quality of life for seniors in a supportive and compassionate community setting.
