The current opportunity is for a part-time Cook position located at Leisure World of Maryland Corp. The work schedule consists of afternoon and evening shifts on varying days, with detailed hours shared during the interview process. This position offers a competitive wage range of $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. As a Cook at Sodexo, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional dining experiences by preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of high-quality, appetizing hot and cold dishes in accordance with Sodexo’s culinary standards. Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience
  • 0 to 2 years of related work experience
  • Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

  • Familiarity with kitchen equipment
  • Ability to read and follow a recipe unsupervised

Job Duties

  • Prepare food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations
  • Follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, tasting, carving, and serving soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other foodstuffs
  • Taste products, read menus, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records to accurately plan production requirements and requisition supplies and equipment
  • Maintain clean and organized workstations
  • Walk or stand for extended periods during each shift
  • Lift and move items up to 35 pounds frequently and occasionally up to 50 pounds
  • Perform repetitive motions
  • Attend work and show up for scheduled shifts on time
  • Support kitchen teamwork to provide exceptional dining experiences
  • Other duties as assigned based on client requirements
