The role we are looking to fill is for motivated and attentive Cooks to join the Culinary team at Hotel Bardo Savannah. This role is crafted for restaurant professionals who are passionate about food and beverage excellence and are committed to providing elevated service. As a Cook, you will collaborate with an experienced team of chefs and hospitality partners to ensure each dish meets Hotel Bardo’s high standards of quality and presentation. Your responsibilities will include preparing ingredients, supporting the chefs during food production, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The position demands attention to detail, a passion for hospitality, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a restaurant kitchen or culinary setting preferred
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and food safety standards
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work collaboratively within a team
  • Physical stamina to stand and move for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Hard-working team player with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail and a passion for hospitality
  • Familiarity with safe and sanitary food handling and preparation
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills

Job Duties

  • Support the Chef and Sous Chef team in ensuring proper line setup prior to service
  • Provide support and prep in all areas of food production and storage in accordance with standards
  • Assist in ensuring food is prepped, produced, and plated to quality and timeliness standards
  • Communicate needed prep or 86'd items to the Chef after service
  • Ensure compliance with cleanliness and sanitation and maintain an organized work environment
