The Ashford of Beavercreek, one of its esteemed communities, seeks dedicated professionals to join its team on a full-time basis. The company offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $16.00, along with exceptional benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance that take effect within two weeks of employment. Beyond standard benefits, Wallick Senior Living fosters a work culture focused on work-life balance, professional growth, and employee ownership, where staff members are considered associates and owners. This unique approach means that employees not only contribute valuably to the lives of senior residents but also share in the financial success of the organization.

The Cook position at The Ashford of Beavercreek is a vital role responsible for preparing and serving quality food that meets the dietary needs and preferences of senior residents. This role demands attention to detail in food preparation, temperature monitoring, food presentation, and portion control while maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. The cook will manage the cleanliness of large kitchen equipment used during preparation and serving, ensure food is appropriately displayed in steam tables, and replenish supplies as needed. Additionally, the cook is expected to perform all related kitchen duties and act as the person in charge in the absence of the Chef. Effective communication with co-workers, residents, and family members is essential to provide excellent customer service and address inquiries or complaints promptly.

This position is suitable for individuals with one to two years of experience in institutional or restaurant cooking environments, and a high school education or equivalent is desired. The role requires basic math skills and the ability to make routine decisions primarily affecting the kitchen or immediate department. Wallick Senior Living emphasizes a supportive culture where teamwork is encouraged, and each associate plays an important role in fostering a resident-focused experience. The company also supports career development through tuition reimbursement, training, and advancement opportunities, making it an attractive place for culinary professionals passionate about serving seniors.

Wallick Senior Living is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, creating a safe and welcoming workplace that respects and empowers associates from all backgrounds. As an employee-owner company, Wallick fosters a meaningful work environment where one’s efforts contribute directly to the quality of life for seniors and the associate’s own financial future. For nearly six decades, Wallick Communities has maintained core values centered around care, character, and collaboration — offering not just a job but a fulfilling career path for those dedicated to making a positive impact on the senior community.
