Located at the Orange County Convention Center, Sodexo Live is currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join its team on an on-call part-time basis. This position offers an hourly pay range between $18.50 and $21.00, with varying shifts and open availability preferred to meet the dynamic needs of the venue. As a Cook within Sodexo Live, you will play a vital role in preparing high-quality, nutritious dishes that cater to a variety of meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special catered events. The job involves accurately preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting food items while adhering to recipes and food safety standards. You will also engage in customer service by ensuring that the meals you prepare are both delicious and appealing, contributing to a memorable dining experience.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 0 to 2 years of related cooking experience beneficial
  • ability to work varying shifts including weekends and holidays
  • ability to follow recipes and food safety standards
  • reliable and punctual for scheduled shifts

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • attend work and show for scheduled shift on time with satisfactory regularity
  • perform other duties as assigned which can differ among accounts depending on business necessities and client requirements
