This full-time, non-management culinary position offers a competitive pay rate of $18.00 per hour and is based on site, not remotely. The role is ideal for culinary associates passionate about the culinary arts and eager to grow professionally through continuous learning and skill enhancement. Sheraton New Orleans Hotel is partnering with Rouxbe Culinary School to provide its associates with exclusive online culinary training opportunities, allowing team members at all levels of experience to access hundreds of well-designed and visually engaging lessons. The hotel encourages associates to push beyond limits, expressing creativity and potential while contributing to memorable guest dining experiences. The culinary associate is responsible for preparing fresh ingredients, cooking high-quality food items in a timely manner, ensuring correct food taste, preparation, and temperature, and upholding kitchen safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards. This role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for prolonged periods.
Sheraton New Orleans values positive attitudes, attention to detail, and a spirit of teamwork. While previous kitchen experience is advantageous, it is not strictly required, reflecting the hotel's commitment to supporting growth and development. Associates will benefit from a motivating administration, wellness programs, recognition initiatives, and opportunities for continuous learning. Working with Sheraton means embracing a vibrant workplace culture that offers not only a job but also a platform to build skills and realize one’s potential in the culinary field.
