At Dial, the team focuses on fostering a culture where employees are valued and empowered to thrive in their roles. The organization prides itself on offering a supportive workplace that emphasizes learning and professional growth, especially through opportunities to collaborate with experienced seniors in the field. Joining Dial means becoming part of a close-knit community where the mission goes beyond providing care—it's about truly adding life to the years of every resident. This commitment to quality living is reflected in the services, environment, and the team's dedication to excellence.
The role at Dial is crafted for an experienced cook who is passionate about preparing delicious and nutritious meals for senior residents. The position involves independently managing meal preparation and food production while supporting the Sous or Executive Chef to maintain high standards of food quality and safety. This job emphasizes attention to detail, creativity in adapting recipes, and a dedication to presentation, all tailored to meet the specific dietary needs and preferences of older adults. The cook will be an essential part of the kitchen team, contributing to menu planning, food inventory management, and ensuring sanitation and food safety protocols are strictly followed.
Working at Dial also means enjoying a rich package of benefits and perks that support work-life balance and personal development. Employees receive birthday and anniversary paid time off, tuition assistance to further their culinary or professional education, and double pay on holidays making their dedication even more rewarding. Paid time off begins accruing from the very first day, underscoring Dial’s commitment to employee well-being. Additional incentives such as referral bonuses, loyalty rewards, employee recognition programs, and various discounts through major service providers like Verizon and AT&T add significant value to the employee experience. The company also offers a pay advance program, comprehensive medical, dental, vision insurance, life insurance options, and a 401K plan to promote long-term financial security.
This full-time position requires candidates to bring a minimum of two years of cooking experience, ideally in senior living, healthcare, or restaurant settings, coupled with strong knowledge of food safety regulations and dietary guidelines. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and demonstrate the ability to use a wide range of kitchen appliances and equipment safely and effectively. The role also calls for physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Preferred qualifications include ServeSafe or an equivalent certification, a willingness to continuously learn and assist team members, and a genuine enjoyment of working with and serving older adults. Overall, this is a rewarding position for culinary professionals eager to make a meaningful difference in a senior living community while enhancing their skills and career in a supportive environment.
