The role of Dietary Aide/Cook at Four Oaks involves essential responsibilities in planning, preparing, and delivering food services to residents, adhering closely to standardized nutritional guidelines such as those laid out by the National School Lunch program (NSL). Duties cover a wide range of food service tasks including assisting in the development of daily meal rotation menus, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in food preparation and storage areas, and helping supervise accurate meal count documentation. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Well groomed, clean and proper clothing, and good personal hygiene
  • Able to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen staff
  • Able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds
  • Able to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours)
  • Understand and follow all safety and sanitation procedures
  • Able to safely and accurately handle kitchen utensils and food preparation tools

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Previous experience in food preparation or dietary aide role preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Ability to follow detailed recipes and dietary guidelines
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Physical capability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds

Job Duties

  • Prepare meals according to standardized recipes and National School Lunch (NSL) guidelines
  • Assists in developing daily meal rotation menus
  • Prepare and deliver meals on time per guidelines of NSL
  • Maintain food storage and preparation areas per standards
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas at all times
