Job Requirements

  • vocational or technical training in cooking baking culinary arts or related field
  • servsafe food safety certification preferred
  • ability to follow county and departmental policies procedures

  • ability to work full time
  • previous experience in food preparation or related field preferred

Job Duties

  • prepares meals according to approved menus including chopping slicing mixing and cooking
  • serves food while regulating meal eligibility scanning badges and portion control
  • sanitizes and cleans kitchen surfaces equipment and utensils following safety protocols
  • maintains inventory records inspects deliveries and labels food items by date
  • supervises and trains interns and volunteers
  • completes food and supply requisition forms
  • maintains temperature logs for refrigerators and freezers
