Responsibilities involve producing a variety of menu items such as sandwiches, salads, entrees, catering trays, and soups for both hot and cold cases. The Cook will also engage in counter work during rush hours and assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies to support daily kitchen operations. Additionally, training new kitchen staff members becomes a vital part of this role, emphasizing leadership and team development.
This position demands excellent multitasking skills and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety sanitation. A current Food Handler card is required to ensure compliance with local health regulations. Job Duties
- Assist chef/kitchen manager in daily activities
- Consult with chef/kitchen manager on timing of orders and production schedules
- Produce sandwich, salad, entree, catering trays and soup for hot and cold cases
- Perform counter work during busy periods
- Deliver assigned orders timely
- Assist with ordering and maintaining inventory of fresh, frozen, and sundry products
- Train new kitchen workers and assistants
- Prepare deep fried, baked, stove top foods, and salads
- Maintain positive relations with customers, vendors and employees
- Maintain health and safety sanitation requirements
- Hold a current Food Handler card
