Job Description
Legends Global is a distinguished hospitality company known for its commitment to delivering exceptional food and service experiences across various hospitality venues, including restaurants, hotels, resorts, and convention centers. With a focus on quality, creativity, and customer satisfaction, Legends Global prides itself on balancing traditional culinary techniques with innovative food presentation styles. The company cultivates a dynamic and inclusive work environment that highlights teamwork, professionalism, and a dedication to excellence. As a federal contractor, Legends Global embraces equal opportunity and affirmative action principles, encouraging applications from Women, Minorities, Individuals with Disabilities, and protected Veterans. This dedication fosters a vibrant and diverse workforce that supports the company’s mission and values, enhancing the overall guest experience.
This open position is for a skilled Banquet Cook who will play a critical role in the culinary team, primarily focusing on food preparation and presentation for banquet events per each Banquet Event Order (BEO). This role requires an individual who is not only proficient in executing recipes with precision but also creative in designing buffet food presentations that are visually appealing and appetizing. The Banquet Cook is responsible for ensuring all food items are prepared according to sanitation and health regulations, particularly adhering to the Pima Health Code for cooking temperatures of meats such as beef, chicken, and fish.
This role involves comprehensive kitchen duties including measuring and mixing ingredients, tasting and seasoning foods, and prepping various food items such as vegetables, fruits, and meats. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is paramount, alongside the responsibility to keep all food storage areas labeled, dated, and sanitary. The Banquet Cook must work collaboratively with kitchen supervisors and the Executive Chef, following directions while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor within the team.
Due to the operational nature of banquet events, the Banquet Cook must be flexible in working days, nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by scheduling demands. Punctuality, adherence to the company’s dress code, and personal grooming standards aligned with TCC requirements are essential. The role also involves thorough documentation, including filling out HACCP control paperwork as directed to ensure compliance with food safety protocols.
The physical demands of this position are considerable, requiring the Banquet Cook to stand and walk for long hours, lift up to 30 pounds, and withstand fast-paced and physically demanding kitchen environments. Exposure to extreme temperatures from kitchen equipment, cleaning chemicals, and occasional smoke is expected. Legends Global ensures reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this role effectively. This position does not include supervisory responsibilities but calls for initiative, the ability to multitask under pressure, and meticulous attention to detail.
Legends Global offers a vital opportunity for culinary professionals looking to advance their careers in banquet cooking within a reputable and supportive company. Joining the team means embracing high culinary standards while contributing to memorable guest experiences through exceptional banquet service and food artistry. Candidates can expect a collaborative work culture that values creativity, communication, and commitment to quality in every event serviced.
