Job Duties

  • Prepare food for patients and others using a variety of production tools, techniques and equipment
  • ensure meal service demands are met

  • take customer orders and prepare food to their specifications

  • plan and manage work orders to ensure all items of an order are finished and served at the same time
  • grill and garnish hamburgers and other meats
  • perform simple food preparation tasks such as slicing up meats and vegetables
  • complete orders from steam tables, plate the food, and serve to the customers
  • order supplies and stock the shelves
  • rotate food and stamp the time and date on the food in the coolers
