The role of Cook/Production Specialist at Virtua Health in Camden, New Jersey, is a vital position within the Food Service Department where food preparation and production tasks are performed with the utmost care and quality standards. Primary responsibilities include following recipes and production standards to ensure consistency and quality of food products. Job Duties

  • Cook/prepare, produce, store, cleans and serve
  • Follow recipe, production standards and assignments
  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of all products delivered for use within the Food Service Department and put away in appropriate locations
  • Safely handle and store all products according to applicable guidelines
  • Assemble trays and plates according to customer needs
  • Maintain clean, sanitary, and safe work environment
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment according to established guidelines
  • Tend to customers (face-to-face, via phone, etc)
  • Complete and maintain required documentation including but not limited to HACCP temp logs, prep and pull sheets, cooling and re-heating logs
  • May be required to work off-site
  • Follow all regulatory guidelines as required
  • Communicate effectively to identify issues and ensure corrective measures are implemented
