With a passionate team and a commitment to excellence, HCSG provides comprehensive foodservices that emphasize nutrition, taste, and the unique needs of residents and patients in long-term care facilities. The company prides itself on fostering an inclusive and culturally diverse workplace where every employee is encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work. HCSG offers a supportive and dynamic workplace culture, blending hands-on training, career development, and ongoing support to help employees grow and succeed in their roles.
HCSG is currently hiring a Cook to join their team, a crucial role responsible for preparing and cooking nutritious, delicious meals for residents at long-term care facilities. This position requires dedication to quality, safety, and customer service to ensure that residents receive exceptional dining experiences that contribute to their overall well-being. The Cook will follow planned menus and recipes closely while adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards. Working in partnership with the rest of the kitchen staff and facility personnel, the Cook will help maintain an organized and hygienic kitchen environment and assist with inventory management and ordering supplies to sustain smooth kitchen operations. This role offers a starting pay rate of $17.00 per hour and includes a variety of benefits designed to support employees' health, financial wellness, and professional growth.
The role is suited for individuals with prior cooking or food preparation experience who have the ability to follow dietary restrictions and recipes carefully. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the flexibility to perform physical tasks such as lifting, standing, bending, and working with food and cleaning products for extended periods. Compulsory certifications like ServSafe or Food Handler certification based on state or county laws are required to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. The Cook will also be expected to comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies to protect the health and safety of residents and staff. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to make a positive impact on the community by ensuring that residents of healthcare facilities receive healthy and tasty meals every day. Employees at HCSG also benefit from free telemedicine services, prescription discount programs, employee assistance programs, and financial wellness support, demonstrating the company’s commitment to holistic employee care.
Overall, joining HCSG as a Cook means becoming part of a team that values quality foodservice as essential to patient and resident care. With a competitive pay rate, robust benefits, and a supportive company culture, this opportunity invites passionate individuals to contribute significantly to improving the culinary experience within healthcare settings while advancing their own career pathways in the foodservice industry.
