Their commitment to providing equal opportunities ensures a fair and supportive work environment for individuals from all backgrounds. The Forest Grove School District location welcomes full-time Cook candidates to join Sodexo’s culinary team, offering competitive pay ranging from $17.00 to $23.44 per hour and varying shifts, with open availability preferred. Specific shift details will be shared during the interview process.

The Cook role at Sodexo within the Forest Grove School District is integral to delivering high-quality, nutritious meals to students and staff, supporting the district’s commitment to excellent food service standards. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items in accordance with Sodexo’s culinary guidelines, ensuring consistency, safety, and professionalism in every dish served. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen environment demands collaboration, efficiency, and attention to detail. This position requires adherence to all food safety and sanitation regulations to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Additionally, the Cook is expected to manage inventory requisitions carefully, assist with menu planning, and maintain organized workstations. This role is essential to Sodexo’s promise of enhancing the everyday life of its customers by providing nutritious meals that meet rigorous quality and presentation standards.

Beyond technical cooking skills, this role encourages teamwork, dependability, and commitment to scheduled shifts. The Cook must be physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods, performing repetitive tasks, and handling moderate lifting as part of the day-to-day operations. Sodexo fosters growth by offering ongoing training and development opportunities, enabling employees to advance their careers within the company. Benefits include a flexible and supportive work environment that respects life’s important moments, comprehensive health benefits covering medical, dental, and vision care, paid time off, holidays, and valuable programs like tuition reimbursement and 401k plans. Site-specific perks such as free shift meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation support may be available, depending on the work location.

Working for Sodexo means being part of a purpose-driven company dedicated to making a positive impact in the communities served while nurturing employee success and satisfaction. The Forest Grove School District is a supportive environment where the Cook will contribute directly to the health and well-being of students by delivering meals that adhere to federal and corporate standards.
