The center emphasizes holistic healing, recognizing the importance of nutrition and overall wellness in the recovery process. With a compassionate team of professionals, Nova Recovery Center creates a supportive environment where clients can focus on rebuilding their lives through evidence-based therapies and personalized care plans. Their kitchen is a critical component of this journey, as it delivers fresh, nutritious meals that support the physical and emotional healing of their clients.

The role of Cook at Nova Recovery Center is vital to this mission. The center is currently seeking a full-time, on-site Cook who is passionate about scratch cooking and committed to teamwork, kitchen safety, and providing high-quality meals that contribute to clients' recovery. Additionally, the Cook will benefit from generous paid time off, flexible scheduling, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive, collaborative work culture. The selected candidate will be expected to work full-time hours with a biweekly 12-hour weekend shift, making this role an excellent opportunity for those seeking career growth while making a positive impact.

As a Cook at Nova Recovery Center, your primary responsibility will be the preparation of healthy, high-quality meals from scratch, ensuring that every dish contributes to the overall healing environment. You will prepare a variety of meats, vegetables, starches, and other dishes with precision, following established menus and recipes that ensure consistency and nutritional value. Maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment will be essential, including strict adherence to hygiene protocols and prevention of cross-contamination. This role demands a strong team-oriented approach, working closely with other kitchen staff to deliver meals efficiently and on schedule. Confidentiality is also paramount when interacting with staff and clients, as you contribute directly to a respectful, healing atmosphere where individuals feel supported throughout their recovery journey. This position is physically demanding and requires standing for extended periods, occasional lifting, bending, and walking, as well as the ability to operate commercial kitchen equipment safely and effectively.

Nova Recovery Center is proud to foster an inclusive workplace that welcomes individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those with criminal records, who share a passion for helping others and driving positive social change.
