We are currently seeking enthusiastic and skilled Line Cooks to join our kitchen team at one of our restaurants located inside the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. This position offers an hourly wage of $18.00 and comes with a comprehensive benefits package, employee meals, and opportunities for immediate hiring and advancement within the company. The role of a Line Cook at SSP America is vital to the overall dining experience, directly contributing to the preparation and presentation of food orders with precision and care. Line Cooks are responsible for setting up and maintaining workstations to ensure efficiency and smooth operation during shifts. As a Line Cook, you will be an essential part of the back-of-house team, working diligently to prepare and garnish menu items following specific recipes and portion controls. Your duties will include managing inventory and ensuring that all stations are fully stocked and organized, handling food products responsibly, maintaining kitchen equipment, and adhering to health and safety protocols. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain quality under pressure are key attributes for success in this position. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous cooking experience preferred

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience as a line cook or in a similar food preparation role preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Job Duties

  • Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station on a daily basis
  • requisition and stock all required food, paper products, and condiments
  • handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • be responsible for set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of any machinery and equipment
  • maintain stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • complete opening, ongoing, and closing checklists as required
  • take responsibility for quality of products served
  • perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
  • other duties as assigned
