The role involves continuous attention to cooking times, utilizing specialized equipment such as conveyor ovens, cutting tools, make tables, and refrigerated storage units. An important aspect includes quality checks before food is served or boxed.
Closing duties include thorough cleaning and maintenance of work areas, ovens, and food storage units. Non-essential functions like restocking, cleaning equipment, answering customers at counter or drive-thru, and general cleaning duties are also part of the job. The cook must demonstrate mental alertness, physical stamina, and strong coordination skills to handle multiple orders and tasks effectively under pressure.
Working conditions require standing for extended periods in a warm kitchen environment near ovens, lifting heavy supplies, and following safety and hygiene protocols.
