Helio Elements Syracuse, located at 4567 Crossroads Park Drive, Liverpool, NY, is currently hiring for the full-time and part-time Cook position. This role is integral to maintaining the exceptional quality and service standards Eurest is known for. The position offers competitive pay ranging from $21.00 to $22.00 per hour and requires candidates with a minimum of three years of line cooking and batch cooking experience. The work schedule primarily covers weekends—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday—from 9:30 am to 6:00 pm, with further schedule details provided during the interview process. The Cook position at Helio Elements Syracuse involves preparing high-quality food items strictly adhering to standardized recipes and production schedules. A key responsibility is ensuring the meals served meet the highest standards of taste, presentation, portion control, and temperature, following HACCP guidelines for food safety. The Cook will manage the cooking line, maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, and operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Additionally, the role includes assisting with inventory management, food ordering, record keeping, and reporting.

Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and presentation standards
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance issues or accidents to supervisor immediately
  • Attends safety and in-service meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and management
  • Performs job safely while ensuring a clean work environment
  • Ensures proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperature
  • Adheres to company safety policies including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Performs other duties as assigned
