We are currently hiring Line Cooks to join our culinary team at one of our restaurants inside Fresno Yosemite International Airport. This full-time role offers an hourly wage of $18.00, with immediate hiring and opportunities for advancement within the organization. The Line Cook position is a vital role within the kitchen, responsible for preparing high-quality dishes in accordance with established recipes and portion controls. Line Cooks ensure that the kitchen is set up properly and stocked adequately so that all team members have access to the ingredients and tools they need during their shifts. Working in the back of the house requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates will excel at following detailed food preparation processes and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and food safety throughout their work. Line Cooks will be expected to handle, store, and rotate products correctly while participating in regular maintenance and cleaning of kitchen equipment. The role demands a team-oriented mindset, reliability, and a commitment to producing consistently excellent food items that meet customer expectations.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous kitchen or food preparation experience preferred
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and portion control
  • knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation
  • capability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weights
  • reliable and punctual work ethic

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred
  • knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
  • ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • basic knife skills and culinary techniques

Job Duties

  • Follow all recipes and practice portion control to prepare, garnish, and present ordered items
  • maintain proper and adequate set-up of the kitchen/station on a daily basis
  • requisition and stock all required food, paper products, and condiments
  • handle, store, and rotate all products properly
  • perform set-up, regular maintenance, cleaning, and breakdown of any machinery and equipment
  • maintain stock, cutting, and storage of all perishables daily to ensure product quality
  • complete opening, on-going, and closing checklists as required
  • take responsibility for quality of products served
  • perform general and specific cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards
  • other duties as assigned
