The role incorporates training and development through a partnership with Rouxbe Cooking School, providing access to a comprehensive culinary curriculum through a flexible, online platform. This opportunity enables culinary associates at all skill levels to refine their culinary techniques and knowledge, directly applying new skills in their daily work.

The culinary associate is responsible for preparing meals, including special dishes and substitutions, maintaining proper food safety and quality standards, and ensuring the presentation and portion control meet company expectations. Key tasks involve regulating cooking equipment temperatures, thawing food properly, keeping detailed food logs, and overseeing food quality and quantity. The role also includes communicating effectively with fellow team members and management to ensure smooth operations during peak times, as well as informing staff of menu changes and stock availability.

In addition to cooking and food preparation duties, the culinary associate supports management in various operational tasks such as assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, and employee evaluation. They serve as a positive role model on the team and uphold strict adherence to safety, security, and quality standards. Physical demands include standing or walking for extended periods, reaching, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and performing other tasks as required by supervisors.

Job Duties

  • Prepare special meals or substitute items
