Job Description

Sodexo is a global leader in food services and facilities management, renowned for creating better everyday experiences for its clients and employees alike. Operating in numerous countries worldwide, Sodexo partners with organizations across various sectors to deliver excellent food service, catering, and integrated facilities solutions. The company is committed to enhancing the quality of life of the people it serves as well as contributing positively to the economic, social, and environmental wellbeing of communities. Sodexo’s business model emphasizes diversity, inclusion, and respect, fostering a workplace culture where employees can thrive and be their authentic selves while contributing meaningfully to the team’s success.

The Cook position at Sodexo, based at the Caron Treatment Center in Pennsylvania, offers a full-time employment opportunity with a pay range of $17 to $20 per hour. The role involves working varying shifts that may include days or hours, with open availability preferred. This position is not only a job but a chance to engage in a purposeful career that impacts people’s daily lives through quality food preparation and service. As a Cook I, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, portioning, and presenting a variety of hot and cold food items using Sodexo’s culinary standards for quality, presentation, and consistency. Working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, you will ensure food is prepared safely and efficiently while maintaining a clean and organized workstation.

The role supports Sodexo’s commitment to delivering an exceptional dining experience. You will collaborate with the kitchen team to uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and corporate regulations. Responsibilities can include following recipes and product directions for soups, meats, vegetables, desserts, and other dishes, as well as tasting and checking production to estimate food requirements. Because the job involves significant mobility, you must be capable of walking or standing for extended periods, bending, lifting moderate weights, and performing repetitive motions. The Cook will also demonstrate reliability by attending scheduled shifts punctually and may be assigned additional duties depending on business needs and client requirements.

Working for Sodexo means being part of an organization that values its employees by offering supportive work environments, ongoing training and career advancement opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, paid time off, holidays, tuition reimbursement, 401k, and employee discount programs. Some specific locations might also provide site-specific perks such as free or subsidized meals, uniforms, safety shoes, and transportation support. When you join Sodexo, you become part of a team that prioritizes your wellbeing and professional growth while having a positive impact on the communities it serves. This role is ideal for those passionate about food preparation, committed to food safety and quality, and eager to contribute to a collaborative kitchen environment.
