The Cook will work under the immediate supervision of the Manager on Duty (MOD), ensuring that all policies, procedures, and operational standards are adhered to during their shift. This role involves operating various kitchen stations, including the dresser, front swamp, back swamp, grill, and food prep stations. The Cook will perform cooking and food preparation duties in line with the restaurant's protocols and will have responsibilities that also include maintaining hygiene, sanitation, and cleanliness in the kitchen. Beyond cooking, the position requires regular cleaning tasks such as mopping, sweeping, washing dishes and utensils, wiping down surfaces, sanitizing prep areas, and managing waste disposal such as trash and grease. Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, the role demands a flexible schedule, often including irregular hours, weekends, nights, and holidays.

Moreover, this position is physically demanding, involving continuous standing, bending, reaching, moving, stooping, stretching, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Exposure to variable temperatures, from hot cooking environments to freezers, is common. The candidate must be prepared to meet these physical challenges while maintaining high standards of product quality and customer service.
