Job Description
[Company Name] is a dedicated mental health and rehabilitation facility committed to providing exceptional care and support to individuals facing various challenges. Our establishment focuses on creating a safe and therapeutic environment where clients can engage in recovery and receive treatment tailored to their unique needs. As part of our commitment to holistic care, we emphasize nutrition as a critical component of recovery, ensuring that our clients receive balanced, nutritious meals that cater to specific dietary requirements and health considerations.
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining the quality and safety of the meals provided to our clients. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and serving meals that align with established dietary guidelines and the specific health needs of individuals in our mental health, rehabilitation, or treatment programs. In addition to meal preparation, the Cook will uphold strict standards of kitchen cleanliness and hygiene, ensuring compliance with HACCP guidelines and OSHA regulations to promote a safe food handling environment. This position demands an attentive individual who is capable of managing kitchen equipment efficiently, maintaining a clean work environment, and adhering to safety protocols rigorously.
The ideal candidate must demonstrate an intermediate level of culinary skills, particularly in operating kitchen equipment and following food safety procedures. We value someone with a mindful approach to client needs, confidentiality, and sensitivity towards the health challenges faced by our clientele. Experience in healthcare food services or a similar setting is preferred, though candidates with relevant restaurant or hotel cooking experience are also encouraged to apply. This is a full-time position requiring a valid Food Handlers Certification and CPR/First Aid certification, which must be obtained if not already certified upon hire.
Joining our team means becoming part of a supportive and patient-centered organization dedicated to cooperation and excellence. We offer a work environment that supports professional development and values each team member’s contribution to fostering a holistic recovery process. Our Cook role not only contributes to client well-being but also ensures that food services operate smoothly and meet the highest standards of health and safety. If you are passionate about culinary excellence and committed to helping vulnerable populations through nutritious meal service, you are encouraged to apply for this rewarding opportunity.
