Job Description

4-K Housing is a mission-driven, not-for-profit senior living health care organization dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents. At 4-K Housing, we encourage our staff and residents to walk the PATH of life together, emphasizing values such as Purpose, Acceptance, Thankfulness, and Harmony. Our primary goal is to foster an environment where residents live happy, healthy lives while maximizing their independence. We believe in the power of relationships, connections, and a strong sense of belonging to contribute to positive health outcomes for the seniors we serve. As a part of our community, you will play a vital role in creating meaningful experiences and helping residents enjoy their daily lives to the fullest.

Stoney Brook of Hewitt, one of our communities, is currently seeking a Part-time Cook who shares our passion for compassionately caring for seniors. This role offers more than just a job—it is an opportunity to join a team that values culinary artistry and the desire to make a difference in residents’ lives through food. As a part-time cook at Stoney Brook of Hewitt, you will be engaged in preparing delicious and nutritious meals that not only meet dietary needs but also bring joy to our residents. We provide comprehensive training and cutting-edge tools, including partnerships with professional vendors and advanced food production technologies, to ensure you have the resources to create high-quality dishes.

We understand the importance of work-life balance, especially in the culinary field. Our shifts are designed to provide flexibility, with evening shift end times as early as 7:30 PM, making sure you have plenty of time to relax and recharge. This position offers an environment where creativity and collaboration are encouraged. Working alongside our Culinary Director or independently, you will have the ability to craft meals that nurture both the body and spirit. The dining experience at our community is akin to a restaurant or country club setting, and our residents expect nothing less than excellence with every meal. Additionally, this role includes opportunities to interact directly with residents at the dining tables, allowing you to receive immediate feedback and satisfaction, enhancing your sense of fulfillment.

We offer an extensive benefits package even for our part-time employees, including comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage with significant employer contributions, life insurance, paid vacation for full-time staff, and exclusive discounts on a variety of services including home, auto, pet insurance, and more. Our Employee Assistance Program provides support with counseling on personal and professional challenges, legal issues, and mental health. We also encourage professional growth with advancement and cross-training opportunities throughout our communities and support for retirement planning through a 401(k) plan with matching contributions.

By joining 4-K Housing, you become part of a respected organization that values integrity, respect, and the commitment to making every day better for our residents. If you have culinary skills honed through restaurant experience or a culinary arts degree and are eager to bring your passion for food to a supportive and uplifting environment, we invite you to apply and continue our story of compassionate care.
