Job Description

Panda Restaurant Group, Inc., founded in 1983 in Glendale, California, is the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the United States. With nearly 2,800 locations globally, Panda has grown significantly, maintaining its mission to deliver exceptional Asian dining experiences while fostering a work environment rooted in family values and community engagement. Their restaurants serve as the heart and soul of the company, emphasizing not only excellent food but also a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere where team members and guests alike feel valued and inspired. The group's commitment extends beyond food, emphasizing leadership, growth opportunities, and personal development within their fast-paced and dynamic work culture.

As a Panda Cook, you will play a vital leadership role at the heart of the kitchen, responsible for creating food with passion, delivering service with heart, and maintaining ambiance with pride. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a team-oriented, fast-paced environment that values growth and career development. You will be entrusted with preparing all dishes according to company recipes and standards, ensuring every meal reflects the brand's commitment to quality and consistency. Further, you will support the creation of a warm and inviting environment for guests, showcasing your teamwork and leadership skills by guiding and assisting in training the kitchen team. Your responsibilities will also encompass all back-of-house duties, contributing to a seamless kitchen operation.

Panda Cook associates are viewed as the backbone of the kitchen team and the essential leaders who uphold the brand's standards daily. Working at Panda is not just about cooking; it is about being part of a family that supports growth and development. The company provides hands-on paid training, ongoing career and leadership development, and clear pathways to management positions for those interested in growing their careers. The role demands physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-changing environment, emphasizing teamwork, adaptability, and effective communication. This is a salaried or hourly position offering competitive pay with flexible schedules, as well as an attractive benefits package for full-time associates. Panda strongly supports inclusion and diversity, ensuring equal opportunity employment and access for all, including reasonable accommodations for applicants or employees with disabilities.

Overall, joining Panda Restaurant Group as a Cook means becoming part of a respected, community-oriented company that values its people as much as its food. It is an opportunity to develop valuable culinary skills, advance within a renowned brand, and contribute to creating memorable dining experiences in an environment where leadership is nurtured and every team member is respected.
