We are currently seeking a dedicated Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team at Presto Pasta Granada Hills. The Cook will be responsible for working across various preparation areas, including meats, vegetables, pasta, and salads, requiring versatility and the ability to multi-task efficiently. The successful candidate must possess strong knowledge of food safety standards and hold a valid California food handler's card. This role is essential to maintaining the quality and consistency of our menu items, ensuring that all dishes are prepared quickly and accurately in accordance with recipes and projected ratios.

The ideal Cook at Presto Pasta will be a professional individual committed to maintaining a clean and organized workspace, upholding uniform standards, and contributing positively to the kitchen environment. Duties include reading and interpreting English menus, preparing food items promptly before opening, and maintaining walk-in and reach-in coolers free of clutter. Attention to detail, the ability to wash dishes as necessary, and flexibility to assist with preparation and closing duties in multiple areas of the kitchen are vital. The position also involves ensuring proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times to guarantee the safety of both guests and staff.

Physical demands for this role include standing for extended periods, bending, stooping, turning, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to operate within a high-heat environment.
