The current role of Cook at Summit's Raeford, North Carolina location is a full-time, onsite position within the corrections division. This role offers an hourly wage of 15 dollars. As a Cook, you will join a highly motivated and energetic kitchen team working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and cook high-quality meals using scratch cooking methods, ensuring excellence in both quality and portion control. Precision and creativity in food preparation and presentation are key components of the job, along with maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen.
In this position, you will adhere to safe food handling policies, procedures, and established recipes to consistently meet Summit’s standards. Job Requirements
- At least one year's prior culinary experience in a quality and high-volume establishment with an emphasis on scratch cooking
- working knowledge of proper culinary methods, techniques, and standards
- excellent attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks in fast-paced environment
- ability to use various kitchen equipment and tools as well as identify and differentiate food items
- customer service experience
- food handlers' certification is a plus
