The role of Cook at Trilogy is integral to delivering high-quality dining experiences that contribute directly to the health and well-being of residents. This position involves preparing fresh, scratch-made meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines, ensuring all food is handled safely and meets nutrition standards. The Cook collaborates closely with the Food Service Manager for inventory control and supply ordering, maintains proper food storage to reduce waste, and supports Dietary staff by providing supervision when the manager is unavailable. The role also involves setting up meal service stations like breakfast bars and steam tables to provide optimal dining service for residents and guests. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen environment is a key responsibility to meet safety standards.

Additionally, the Cook prepares snacks and pantry items for resident areas and leverages technology and computerized systems to enhance service efficiency and accuracy. This position requires attention to detail, culinary skill, and a team-oriented attitude, all within a caring and inclusive work environment that values every employee. Job Duties

  • Prepare fresh scratch-made meals using recipes for residents according to planned menus and dietary guidelines
  • assist the Food Service Manager with inventory control and ordering supplies
  • properly store food and kitchen supplies to maintain freshness and prevent waste
  • supervise and support Dietary staff when the Food Service Manager is unavailable
  • set up breakfast bars, steam tables, and other meal service stations
  • maintain cleanliness in work areas and ensure all kitchen cleaning tasks are completed
  • prepare and stock snacks and standard pantry items for resident areas
  • utilize technology and computerized systems to efficiently and safely create a great dining experience for residents and families
