Over the years, it has grown to become the largest family-owned Asian dining establishment in America, boasting nearly 2,800 locations globally. The company is dedicated to delivering exceptional Asian dining experiences and prides itself on fostering a workplace where team members are inspired to improve their lives while contributing positively to their communities. The organization deeply embraces family values and commits to providing equal opportunity employment. It strives to maintain an inclusive environment free from discrimination on any legally protected basis, including but not limited to gender, race, religion, disability, or veteran status. Complying with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Panda Restaurant Group ensures that reasonable accommodations are available throughout the hiring and employment process, supporting individuals who may require assistance.
The role of Panda Cook is integral to the heart and soul of the restaurant. As a Cook, you will play a vital leadership role within the kitchen, responsible for preparing food with passion, serving guests with warmth, and contributing to the vibrant ambiance that defines the Panda dining experience. This role is ideally suited for individuals eager to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment. The Cook position involves adhering to rigorous food preparation standards, based on company recipes and quality guidelines, ensuring consistency and satisfaction for every guest. The role also includes supporting and guiding kitchen team members, assisting in training efforts, and managing the backend operational tasks that keep the kitchen running smoothly.
In this position, you will be expected to maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment while effectively managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously. This includes lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and working in a kitchen with high heat and noise levels. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, adaptability to dynamic priorities, and the ability to navigate and resolve conflicts or challenging situations effectively. With hands-on paid training provided, the role offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement into management positions, making it an excellent path for career development within a respected restaurant group.
Panda Cook associates also benefit from a robust package that supports their well-being and work-life balance, including flexible schedules, competitive pay, and free meals during shifts. Full-time associates gain access to medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as voluntary short-term disability and cancer income protection insurance. Financial well-being is supported through 401K plans with company matching and flexible spending accounts for healthcare and dependent care. Paid vacation, sick leave, bereavement leave, and a Leave Share Program are also part of the benefits, promoting a supportive workplace culture. Additionally, associates enjoy discounts across many brands, referral bonuses, and opportunities to engage in community service projects. Panda Restaurant Group is committed to nurturing leadership skills and offering continuous career development sessions, providing a pathway for motivated employees to advance and succeed within the company.
