Dragon Alley is the premier Asian street food destination located in the vibrant MidCity district of Huntsville. It is a unique restaurant and bar experience inspired by 1990s Hong Kong, renowned for its handmade dumplings, eclectic street food offerings, and an energetic social atmosphere. This establishment stands out for its combination of authentic Asian flavors, crafted cocktails, live music, and a dedicated karaoke stage, creating a lively environment for both dining and entertainment. Dragon Alley is part of HX Brands, a respected local group behind beloved venues such as Kamado Ramen and I Love Sushi.

We are currently looking for passionate cooks to join our energetic kitchen team. In this role, you will be the backbone of our culinary operation, ensuring that each dish reflects the authenticity and high quality our customers expect. You will be responsible for preparing a diverse range of meats, seafood, and vegetables using traditional cooking equipment such as woks, fryers, and grills. Working here means embracing a fast-paced and collaborative environment where teamwork, precision, and a passion for Asian street cuisine are essential.

The position offers flexible employment types, including full-time and part-time options, with shifts extending up to 12 hours including daytime, nighttime, and weekend availability. Job Requirements

  • No formal education required
  • Ability to stand for long shifts up to 10 hours
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong work ethic and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a line cook or in a similar fast-paced kitchen preferred
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
  • Basic knife skills and fundamental cooking knowledge
  • Ability to work efficiently as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

Job Duties

  • Prepare and stock cooking stations with all necessary ingredients and tools for service
  • Cook a variety of meats, seafood, and vegetables using woks, fryers, and grills according to established recipes
  • Ensure all food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and plated according to chef specifications
  • Maintain high standards of sanitation and kitchen safety, including cleaning workstations and following food storage guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house staff and fellow cooks to ensure timely service during peak hours
