Job Description

First Watch is a distinguished leader in the Daytime Dining industry, renowned for serving made-to-order breakfast, brunch, and lunch using the freshest ingredients available. With more than 630 locations across 32 states, First Watch has cultivated a welcoming atmosphere centered around quality food, genuine hospitality, and a commitment to community impact. Established with a "Follow the Sun" culinary philosophy, First Watch’s chef-driven menu undergoes multiple rotations throughout the year, featuring high-quality seasonal flavors, elevated takes on classic favorites, fresh juices like the Kale Tonic, and signature dishes including the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Quinoa Power Bowl, and the celebrated Million Dollar Bacon.

Recognized for its excellence, First Watch has received numerous "Best Breakfast" and "Best Brunch" awards, including being voted the #1 Best Breakfast by Newsweek's Readers' Choice Awards in 2025. In addition, First Watch proudly holds the distinction of being named the #1 Most Loved Workplace in America by the Best Practice Institute for both 2024 and 2025, a testament to their dedication towards fostering a positive work environment. This accolade was highlighted in The Wall Street Journal and marks a continued presence on the list since 2022.

First Watch is deeply committed to community service, donating a portion of every kid's meal served to various organizations and causes, raising approximately $2.0 million to date. This reflects the company’s core values of caring not only for customers but also for its employees — a culture embodied in their motto, “YOU FIRST.” This philosophy prioritizes employee happiness and autonomy, encouraging team members to make decisions that contribute to delivering an exceptional dining experience without ever having to work night shifts.

The Back-of-the-House Cooks at First Watch play an essential role in ensuring that every plate leaving the kitchen carries the restaurant’s signature quality. Cooks are supported with chef-curated recipes and work with fresh ingredients to prepare dishes that meet high standards for taste and presentation. New hires receive training at specific stations suited to their experience and skills, making the position accessible even to those new to professional cooking but passionate about quality food and teamwork.

This role demands individuals who believe in the importance of collaboration, have a keen eye for food safety and quality, and maintain an organized and sanitized workspace. Communication is key in this fast-paced kitchen environment, where delivering consistent, high-quality meals is paramount. First Watch values staff who can bring dedication, responsibility, and enthusiasm to their role, ensuring that each customer enjoys a memorable breakfast, brunch, or lunch experience.

First Watch is an equal opportunity employer that complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act, offering reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals. The company provides competitive benefits packages, including health, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) retirement savings plans, paid time off, tuition reimbursements, and various employee support programs designed to enhance well-being and work-life balance. For those passionate about daytime dining and working in a supportive, innovative environment, First Watch offers a fulfilling career with opportunities for personal and professional growth. Join the team and experience firsthand why First Watch loves its employees more than bacon!
