The cook position at SodexoMagic based at DELTA SKY CLUB - MSY is a full-time role offering an hourly pay rate of $17.00. This position requires a flexible schedule with varying shifts and open availability preferred, ensuring coverage across multiple meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special or catered events. As a cook at SodexoMagic, you will join a team that prioritizes excellent customer service and sustainability by focusing on food waste reduction. The role involves preparing, portioning, cooking, and presenting a variety of nutritious hot and cold dishes while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. You will be actively involved in reading and following recipes and product directions, and may also be required to serve customers at an a la carte station or operate a grill station. Punctuality and reliability are essential traits for this role, as consistent attendance and adherence to schedules significantly contribute to the smooth operation of the dining service.

Job Duties

  • Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, cook, and present a variety of hot and/or cold food items for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events
  • Read and follow basic recipes and/or product directions for preparing various food items
  • Prepare food and serve customers at an a la carte and/or operate a grill station
  • Attend work and show for scheduled shifts on time with satisfactory regularity
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may differ among accounts depending on business necessities and client requirements
