The Grill Cook role at American Dining Creations is based in Cleveland, Ohio, and offers competitive pay ranging from $18 to $20 per hour. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts and dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Grill Cooks are responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation, portioning, grilling, and presentation of menu items within their designated station. The role requires multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, all while maintaining exemplary customer service standards. Successful candidates will use stovetops, flat-top grills, open flame grills, and other kitchen equipment to deliver consistently high-quality food that delights guests.

The Grill Cook ensures food safety and sanitation standards are strictly adhered to, maintaining proper food storage, temperature logs, and cleanliness of their workstations. They play a critical part in keeping supplies replenished, assisting in inventory management, and preparing food according to guest specifications. This role includes operating POS systems for completing orders and packaging to-go items as needed. Communication skills and teamwork are essential, as Grill Cooks must listen attentively and communicate professionally with team members, guests, and clients, contributing to a positive hospitality environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in food preparation or grilling preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible availability including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality food service experience utilizing a flat top or open flame grill
  • Basic knife skills a plus
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast paced high volume high quality environment
  • Self motivated achiever eager to learn and interested in taking on additional roles and responsibilities
  • Must be dedicated to excellence in hospitality and have a desire to offer a great dining experience
  • Ability to cross train and cross utilize skills
  • Safety and detail oriented
  • This position requires lifting 30lbs bending walking climbing stairs and standing for scheduled shifts

Job Duties

  • Cook grill and serve menu offerings within a designated station
  • Utilize a stove top flat top open flame grill and other necessary kitchen equipment
  • Carry pans kettles and trays of food to and from workstations stove and refrigerator in accordance with established safety standards
  • Prepare and serve food and any goods per guest specifications
  • Store foods in designated areas following standard wrapping dating food safety and rotation procedures
  • Retain temperature logs and production records in an efficient manner
  • Keep supplies replenished coolers restocked and take inventory as directed
  • Set-up and breakdown stations clean and sanitize equipment utensils dishes for designated workstation
  • Adhere to all state and local food production safety and sanitation regulations
  • Remain focused on customer satisfaction through providing excellent service to all guests clients and team members
  • Listen well and communicate in a professional and friendly manner
  • Be efficient and organized
  • May operate POS to complete orders and package to go items
  • May be assigned other duties and responsibilities as needed
