As a Cook at Red Lobster, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food according to established recipes and portion control guidelines, ensuring the freshness and quality of ingredients, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen area. You will stock and prepare your workstation and assist fellow cooks during peak times, performing duties with attention to safety and sanitation practices. The position requires physical stamina, including the ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 30 pounds safely, and work collaboratively within a team-oriented setting. Job Requirements

  • Must meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds
  • Capacity to stand for an 8 to 12 hour shift
  • Ability to work in a team environment with attention to detail and multitasking capability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking or food preparation experience preferred
  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
  • Basic knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn and develop culinary skills

Job Duties

  • Stock and prepare stations and line
  • Clean, sanitize, and organize kitchen area, equipment, and utensils
  • Check quality and freshness of ingredients
  • Prepare, season, and cook food according to recipes, specified quantities, and portion control systems
  • Inspect food preparation and serving areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food handling practices
  • Substitute for or assist other cooks and kitchen positions during high volume periods
