Job Requirements
- Must meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop and safely lift up to 30 pounds
- Capacity to stand for an 8 to 12 hour shift
- Ability to work as part of a team with attention to detail and multitasking skills
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or similar food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and portion control guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Accommodate and stock preparation and line stations
- Clean, disinfect and organize kitchen areas, equipment and utensils
- Check quality and freshness of ingredients
- Prepare, season and cook food according to recipes, correct amounts and specifications while maintaining portion control systems
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas, utensils and equipment to ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food handling practices
- Substitute or assist other cooks and kitchen positions during busy periods
