Job Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation
- A personnel security investigation is required
- Immunization screening is required
- Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact

- Moderate to heavy lifting up to 40 pounds may be required

- Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision

Job Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items, including regular and therapeutic diet entrees
- Perform roasting, broiling, baking, frying, grilling, boiling, steaming, and stewing meats
- Independently prepare soups, stocks, broths, gravies and sauces without the use of package mixes
- Clean and maintain equipment and work areas in sanitary conditions by sweeping and mopping floors
- washing and sanitizing refrigerators, freezers, work surfaces, tables and utensils
- and cleaning kettles, ranges, ovens, and other equipment
- Operate various mixers, steamers, steam kettles, ovens and other electrical and/or mechanical equipment
- Cook foods to proper temperatures and maintain proper food temperatures during holding, transport, re-heating, and serving to assure quality control and food safety
