The Cook role at Red Lobster is an essential part of the restaurant operations. Job Requirements

  • Meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
  • ability to bend, reach, crouch, and safely lift up to 30 pounds
  • ability to stand for 8 to 12 hour shifts
  • ability to work as part of a team with attention to detail and multitasking capability

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • previous cooking or kitchen experience beneficial
  • ability to follow recipes and portion controls accurately
  • knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation principles

Job Duties

  • Accommodate and stock preparation and line stations
  • clean, disinfect, and organize kitchen area, equipment, and utensils
  • check the quality and freshness of ingredients
  • prepare, season, and cook foods according to recipes, specified quantities, and portion control systems
  • inspect food preparation and serving areas, utensils, and equipment to ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food handling practices
  • substitute or assist other cooks and kitchen positions during peak periods
