The Cook role at Red Lobster is critical to the seamless operation of our kitchen and overall guest experience. Cooks are responsible for preparing high-quality dishes that meet established recipes, portion controls, and food safety standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Key responsibilities include stocking and organizing prep stations and line areas, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment and utensils, inspecting ingredient freshness and quality, and assisting or substituting for other kitchen positions as needed. Physical stamina is essential as the job involves standing for 8 to 12-hour shifts and safely lifting up to 30 pounds. Candidates must meet age and work authorization requirements for employment in the United States. Job Requirements
- Must meet minimum age requirement and be authorized to work in the United States
- Ability to bend, reach, stoop and safely lift up to 30 pounds

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant or similar food service environment is an asset

Job Duties
- Stock and supply prep and line stations
- Clean, sanitize and organize kitchen area, equipment and utensils
- Check quality and freshness of ingredients
- Prepare, season and cook food according to recipes, required amounts and specifications while maintaining portion control systems
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas, as well as utensils and equipment, to ensure compliance with safe and sanitary food handling practices
- Substitute or assist other cooks and kitchen positions during peak periods
