Job Description

Red Lobster is a well-established family-owned restaurant brand that started over fifty years ago with a vision to connect people with seafood and the coast in a meaningful way. With a growing family of over 500 restaurants, Red Lobster has set the table for countless memorable dining experiences and continues to thrive as a beloved dining destination. The company prides itself on being more than just a restaurant; it is an integral part of the communities it serves, where guests and employees alike build meaningful relationships. This sense of community, quality service, and dedication to fresh seafood distinguishes Red Lobster as a leader in the casual dining industry.

As a Cook at Red Lobster, you will play a vital role in maintaining the quality and consistency for which the brand is known. This position offers competitive wages ranging from $15.00 to $25.00 per hour and includes weekly pay to help provide financial stability. Flexible scheduling options make this position ideal for individuals seeking work-life balance, whether you are pursuing a culinary career or looking for a rewarding job with growth opportunities. Benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage start at less than $10 per week, accompanied by life insurance, short-term disability, and various voluntary benefits to support your overall well-being. After one year of service, you become eligible for a 401(k) retirement savings plan with company match, as well as anniversary pay.

In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for a variety of duties central to the efficient operation of the kitchen. Setting up and stocking prep and line stations ensures that the team can work smoothly during service hours. Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils is paramount to uphold health and safety standards that protect both staff and guests. You will actively check the quality and freshness of ingredients, preparing, seasoning, and cooking food that meets the restaurant's recipes, quantity calls, and portion control systems. Inspecting food preparation and serving areas ensures strict observance of safe and sanitary food handling practices. Additionally, you may be asked to substitute and assist other cooks and kitchen staff during peak business periods, demonstrating teamwork and flexibility.

Working at Red Lobster requires physical endurance and the ability to multitask under pressure. Cooks must be able to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift weights up to 60 pounds, as well as remain standing for shifts that may last 8-12 hours. Culinary experience is preferred but not required because Red Lobster invests in employee training and provides career advancement opportunities within its network, paving the way for personal and professional growth. The company fosters a welcoming and inclusive workplace, committed to equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, gender, religion, or veteran status. With exciting plans for growth and innovation on the horizon, joining Red Lobster means becoming part of a dynamic team that values dedication, hard work, and the passion for delivering exceptional dining experiences.
