Job Description

Our company is a well-established hospitality organization that prides itself on delivering exceptional culinary experiences to its guests. As a key player in the food and beverage industry, we are committed to upholding high standards of cuisine quality, safety, and sanitation in all our food preparation processes. We embrace a culture of excellence rooted in core values such as People Are Our Capability, Hearts That Serve, Only Excellence, Stay Nimble, and Own It, which guide every aspect of our operations. This commitment extends to our focus on sustainability through innovative programs like HHM's EarthView, ensuring that our practices contribute positively to the environment as well as the community at large.

This position is for a dedicated and skilled Cook who will be responsible for preparing food items according to established recipes and quality standards. The role involves hands-on culinary work, including preparing appetizers, salads, cold dishes, baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming a variety of foods ranging from meats and fish to vegetables and baked goods. The successful candidate will ensure that each dish is prepared meticulously, garnished appropriately, and delivered to guests or servers with pride in its presentation and taste. Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment is a critical aspect of this role, reflecting our organization's commitment to food safety and guest satisfaction.

The Cook's responsibilities emphasize attention to detail and adherence to food handling and safety protocols to meet health and sanitation standards. The individual will be expected to wash, peel, and cut fresh produce and prepare meats meticulously, ensuring all food items are stored properly and work stations are cleaned and sanitized regularly. The position requires awareness of guest satisfaction metrics and a proactive approach to enhancing overall dining experiences.

Beyond routine kitchen duties, there is a clear growth path starting from Lead Cook progressing towards Sous Chef, Executive Chef, and ultimately Food and Beverage Director roles. This trajectory reflects our belief in employee development and leadership cultivation within the culinary domain. Work shifts may vary to meet operational needs, including holidays, weekends, and alternate schedules, requiring flexibility and physical stamina including prolonged standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, and reaching.

This role not only demands culinary skills and experience but also embraces our organizational values, encouraging candidates to take ownership of their work, remain agile in dynamic environments, and strive for excellence consistently. The successful Cook will play an integral role in supporting our mission to deliver outstanding dishes that leave a lasting impression on our guests, contributing directly to our continued reputation as an outstanding hospitality provider.
