This role is that of a Cook within LifeWorks Restaurant Group under the Aramark umbrella. As a Cook, you play a critical part in executing the culinary vision by preparing a variety of menu items using fresh ingredients and industry-standard equipment. Your role goes beyond routine cooking as you have the opportunity to experiment with different cuisines, flavors, and cooking styles, making creativity a core element of your job. Safety and production guidelines are emphasized to ensure a secure and structured kitchen environment, protecting employee health and maintaining high food safety standards. Your responsibilities include measuring, mixing, chopping, and cooking various food items using multiple cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming. You will set up your workstation efficiently, maintain cleanliness of equipment and utensils, properly store food, and deliver excellent customer service with a positive attitude.

Job Requirements
- Experience as a cook or in a related role
- basic knowledge of food preparation and safety
- ability to acquire food safety certification
- physical ability to lift, bend, push, pull and stand for extended periods
- must be able to follow safety and sanitation procedures
- good communication skills
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related role required
- validated knowledge of the basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations such as accurate food handling, sanitation, and storage
- must be able to acquire food safety certification
- demonstrate basic math and counting skills
- demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Job Duties
- Cooks and prepare a variety of food according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
- sets up workstation with all needed ingredients and equipment
- prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, mixing, chopping, trimming, and peeling food items
- safely uses a variety of utensils including knives
- operates equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers
- bakes, roasts, broils, steams, and uses a variety of cooking methods on meat, vegetables, and other foods
- arranges, garnishes, and portions food according to established guidelines
- properly stores food by adhering to food safety policies and procedures
- cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment, and utensils
- maintains excellent customer service and positive demeanor towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers
- adheres to Aramark safety policies and procedures including accurate food safety and sanitation
- ensures security of company assets
