Job Description

Red Lobster is a well-established American casual dining restaurant chain that specializes in seafood. Founded more than fifty years ago as a family-owned restaurant, Red Lobster has grown into a vibrant family of over 500 restaurants across various communities. The company takes great pride in its dedication to providing a unique connection to seafood and coastal cuisine, offering guests memorable meals and special moments. Beyond just being a dining venue, Red Lobster is deeply connected to the communities it serves, where new friends turn into familiar faces. This longstanding history and vibrant culture make Red Lobster a beloved brand known for quality food, excellent service, and a welcoming environment.

The company is currently hiring for the position of Cook, a vital role in maintaining the high standards of food preparation and safety that guests have come to expect. This is a full-time role that offers competitive weekly pay along with flexible scheduling to accommodate employees' needs. Red Lobster also provides comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance options starting at less than $10 per week, life insurance, short-term disability, and voluntary benefits. Additionally, after one year of service, employees can participate in the company’s 401(k) retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions. The company also rewards employee milestones through anniversary pay, offers discounted meals during shifts, and a 25% discount when dining as a guest. Red Lobster invests in its employees by providing training and career advancement opportunities, underscoring its commitment to fostering growth within its team.

As a Cook at Red Lobster, you will play an essential role in preparing and cooking high-quality dishes according to company recipes and portion control standards. Your responsibilities will include accommodating and stocking preparation and line stations, ensuring the kitchen area, equipment, and utensils are clean and sanitized, and checking the quality and freshness of ingredients. You will be involved in seasoning and cooking food to meet the company's specifications, inspecting food preparation and serving areas for compliance with safe food handling practices, and assisting other cooks or kitchen positions during peak times.

Red Lobster values teamwork and a strong work ethic, and it expects its cooks to work diligently while paying close attention to detail. The physical demands of this role require the ability to bend, reach, stoop, and safely lift up to 30 pounds, as well as standing for shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours. While the role requires physical stamina, there are reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Joining Red Lobster means being part of a growing family with exciting plans for the future. The company is committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming work environment that offers equal employment opportunities for all individuals regardless of age, race, color, religion, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, disability, or veteran status. If you are passionate about cooking and want to build a career at a company that values and supports its people, this is the perfect opportunity to become part of the Red Lobster family.
