The hospital not only focuses on delivering outstanding medical care but also invests heavily in supporting its team members through various programs, including education assistance, comprehensive benefits, and wellbeing support.

The Hospital is currently looking to recruit a Cook who will play a crucial role in providing quality food services and nutrition support to patients, staff, visitors, and during special functions. This role involves preparing, seasoning, and cooking food while adhering to strict sanitation and safety standards such as HACCP. The Cook will ensure that food is prepared in sufficient quantities according to menu requirements, follow standardized recipes and portion controls to prevent waste, and participate in the ordering of supplies. In addition to food preparation, the Cook will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness in the production areas, mentoring new staff members, and overseeing personnel who assist in food preparation.

This full-time position offers no travel requirements and welcomes candidates with no prior experience in cooking as training and orientation will be provided. HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital offers a competitive total rewards package which includes medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, behavioral health services, telemedicine, paid time off, paid family leave, disability coverage, and robust retirement plans, including a 401(k) with employer matching. Additional benefits such as fertility and family building assistance, tuition aid, student loan support, life insurance, supplementary health protection plans, legal counseling, identity theft protection, and consumer discounts further enhance the employee experience.

Joining HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital as a Cook is more than just a job—it is an opportunity to be part of a compassionate community that values patient care as much as it values the growth and wellbeing of its employees.
