We are currently seeking a Cook to join our team and play a vital role in delivering an exceptional dining experience for our residents and guests. The Cook will be responsible for the efficient, sanitary, and high-quality preparation and service of nutritious meals that meet the specific needs and preferences of the residents. Working closely with the Dining Director and Executive Chef, the Cook will follow established recipes and daily prep lists to ensure consistent quality and presentation. This role requires someone who is not only skilled in various cooking methods such as baking, frying, sautéing, cold salad preparation, and short-order cooking but also maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen. The successful candidate will assist with inventory management and ordering as well as collaborate on menu development and special meal preparation.

This position offers part-time hours, with available shifts during the day, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals looking for flexible working arrangements within a supportive and caring environment.   • Must have previous kitchen experience
  • Sanitation certified (ServSafe) or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire
  • Must be flexible and accommodating to residents and guests
  • Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • Must have a solid work ethic, positive attitude, and be a good team player

Job Duties

  • Follow written recipes and prepare high quality, delicious, and nutritious menu options
  • Assist in developing menus and special meals, following a daily prep list
  • Help the Dining Director/Executive Chef with inventory and ordering
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary working environment, including cleaning equipment and attending to dirty dishes timely
  • Assist with various cooking methods including baking, frying, cold salad preparation, sautéing, and general short order cooking
