Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of one year restaurant or senior living cooking experience
- Able to stand or walk for up to eight hours per day, bend, stoop, and stretch frequently
- Have manual dexterity for preparing food
- Ability to use standard industrial kitchen appliances
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs independently
- May be exposed to extreme temperatures and industrial cleaning chemicals
- Able to see, hear, and communicate with others
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Culinary degree preferred
- Minimum of one year restaurant or senior living cooking experience
- Knowledge of cooking preparation and production
- Ability to operate standard industrial kitchen appliances
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
Job Duties
- Prepare all food items as per standardized recipes
- Adhere to food safety, quality, appearance, and presentation standards
- Produce and serve menu cycle programs compliant with nutritional and dietary criteria
- Monitor and assist with serving meals and ware washing
- Visit residents to evaluate food service quality and make operational revisions
- Represent the community in a warm and inviting manner
- Support culture that drives top-line revenue and occupancy through business decisions and employee engagement
