The role of the Cook at AC Hotel Denver RiNo is pivotal in delivering high-quality culinary experiences that meet guests' expectations and adhere strictly to food safety standards. This position requires preparing and cooking food items according to the hotel's recipes and quality standards, handling ingredient preparation such as chopping, slicing, and dicing, and ensuring timely meal service. The Cook will maintain cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment by adhering to food safety and sanitation regulations. Responsibilities also include monitoring food inventory levels and reporting the need for supply replenishment, assisting in menu planning and recipe development, and ensuring proper portion control to minimize food waste. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience as a cook or in a similar food preparation role
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once
- Must be able to work late nights and unpredictable hours
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
- Prolonged periods of standing and working in a kitchen
- Exposure to extreme heat, steam, and cold present in a kitchen environment
- Manual dexterity to cut and chop foods and perform other related tasks
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years of experience as a cook or in a similar food preparation role
- Culinary certification or degree is a plus, but not required
- Strong cooking and food preparation skills
- Excellent understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow recipes and adjust according to guest preferences or dietary restrictions

Job Duties
- Prepares and cooks food items according to hotel recipes and quality standards

- Ensures all food items are cooked and presented in a timely manner
- Monitors food inventory levels and report when supplies need to be replenished
- Adheres to food safety and sanitation regulations at all times
- Assists in menu planning and recipe development

- Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment, including stoves, ovens, and grills
