We understand the critical role that nutritious, well-prepared meals play in supporting the health and wellbeing of the individuals we serve. Our team is committed to maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction. As a full-time employer, we prioritize a collaborative and supportive work environment where every employee contributes to our mission of delivering varied, nutritionally balanced, and appetizing menus tailored to our clients' needs.
The Food Service Cook position is pivotal in ensuring the successful operation of our kitchen. Under general direction, the individual in this role will implement menus designed to meet nutritional requirements while also appealing to those we serve. This role involves the preparation and cooking of food, coordination of food service activities, and supervision of workers assisting in meal preparation and service. The cook will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and functional operation of kitchen equipment and appliances, taking inventory of supplies, and working closely with Food Service leadership or a Dietitian to ensure menus are appropriately varied and balanced.
As part of their duties, the Food Service Cook will also perform food production, cleaning, maintenance, and inventory control activities to uphold our quality standards. Compliance with established policies, cost parameters, and regulatory requirements is essential. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously to maintain an efficient and effective food service operation. The role offers the opportunity to develop professionally within a supportive environment committed to equal employment opportunities for all applicants. Employment is full-time, reflecting our commitment to the importance and consistency of quality food service provision.
